The Artifact Part II (in development)

Postby Velorond » Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:46 pm

I have just begun working on the sequel!
The style will be much like the first game, but i will try to make the story much better and make it a bit harder.

I will not include as many locations as the first game (because this will take place in the winter.) but i hope it will be a "decent length game" :P

Those who played the first "The Artifact" tell me what i should improve.

Hey, nice news... :)

I think you should try out Machinery. A software which makes your games looks more game-ly... :)

It was mentioned here by one user... don't remember now

http://www.machineryhdr.com/index.php

It's really great stuff! I mean if you really wanna use pictures taken by a camera... ;)

Keep up the great work!

Yes, great news! :) The most important aspect would be more story. OK, and maybe more puzzles.

If there is a particular puzzle you want to do, but not sure how, please post and someone will help, or if you want to keep it a secret, PM me and I'll help you with it.

Nice snowmobile! :)

Thanks!
Yeah im thinking about a puzzle where you have to put tiles in the correct order for a password to appear. Like an ordinare "puzzle" but you have to find all the pieces first, I don?t realy understand how to make those, i know there is a tutorial on this site, so im going to study that one first. 8)

Did you want a TEXT message or a regular default message that appears in AM..[bottom of the frame] ?

You go about it the same way that Reneuend shows ..only u would add text in the Advanced tab..

I myself prefer TEXT..to the message at the bottom..popping up...which is why I asked..:)

okay, okay....here is how you do it if you want a textbox instead of a message! :)

Note: Be sure to look at BOTH documents!!!

Hi guys!
My work has stopped (only temporary) with the Artifact 2.
I have had both computer problems and my camera broke.

I will soon get a new one so that i can continue my work.

It's nice to hear from you.
I need to get back to work on my game building also. It seems like there is a lot less time to work on them.

The fact that you use photos from areas of the world I've never been in makes it very interesting for me. Someday, when the kids are on their own, maybe I'll be able to do some traveling.
