Well, I just imagine how frustrating it can be to lose your data... It almost happened to me during the production of ASA, because my hard drive suddenly died. Happily, I had everything backed up, or almost. This was a very awful period of the production, and I lost a lot of time and efforts.
However, if you're still motivated to work on your game, and if you're ready to start again from the very beginning, I just can't do anything else but cheer you up. I'm VERY curious in your game project, and I defintely want to see Mytho come to life. If I can help, let me know.
By the way, if you decide to use other softwares, I would recommand you have a look at the Maxwell Render engine, which allows to create realistic lightings and shaders in no time. I never used it myself except during my studies, but I think it's a great software for AM users who work specifically with static pictures.
