Hello,

I would like to announce that I temporarily disassociate myself from Mytho, as I have already done this many graphic experiments, but almost no puzzles me have invaded yet not too hard or too easy. I also have to take care of many other important things. Do not worry, I'll dont give up the project , but if I do not update the thread the next eight weeks it has his reasons, but maybe i will come back earlier.

I ask that this thread is not moved to the "Vapoware Games" category, because i will come back.

Regards,
Mr. Myst

If you should have important questions, please write an E-Mail to: mytho-the-game[a--t]web.de
Replace the "at" to the knowen E-Mail symbol.

A Brief Update:

I've made ??a new poll, and I am pleased for votes. Tomorrow I visit my aunt, and we sketch the map that shows Mytho from above. But it is not done in a day!

Hello,

currently I am working on implenting a puzzle, which my aunt has invented (who also like to play adventure games). So that I can realize the puzzle at all I must first bring Synthavision to render animated fluids. Some renderings will be there, soon.

Best Regards,
Mr. Myst and his Aunt Beate

A brief update, after many weeks:

Image

The rendered Image shows a cave, where you have to solve a puzzle. Currently, i havent modelled all objects, which are relevant for the puzzle. I wont publish the Image with all relevant objects, because that would make the puzzle too
obviously. In the cave, there will also be objects, which are important later, but not for the main puzzle of the cave.

Best Regards,
Mr. Myst

The cave is finished, now I'm making a space station. That will take up to 4 months!

I will publish sketches and pre-renderings every week.

Hey MrMyst,

Your picture of "the cave" is very interesting. I think it has a very nice architecture design, which brings something very god. A shame that the lighting is too ambiant and doesn't really come from the small lamps above :) But never mind, I like it !

About your space station, I think I could help, as I worked on a sci-fi project for 5 months ^^ Maybe you would be interested on trying ASA: A Space Adventure for free ? It's my AM game in Space. Could give you some ideas too.
I can offer it to you if you like. The way is simple : give me a valid Desura username and you'll receive a code to unlock ASA for free on Desura.
The game's page is here : http://www.desura.com/games/asa-a-space-adventure
There was a review in Dutch : http://www.adventurespel.nl/info/info-asa.htm (you speak dutch, don't you ?) Don't know what they say as I don't understand dutch

Keep me informed !

Hello,

I'm very sorry that I haven?t written anything new for nearly 6 weeks. The reason is that I had to do many other things that you just can?t move. Then before yesterday I wanted to resolutely work on Mytho, and noticed the loss of all data already created. My handwritten notes, however, and - this is the most important thing - my thoughts are obtained, of course. Since I have the 3D software and any other programs for imaging installed again, I can now begin to do everything again. :( For a moment I even thought to give up Mytho, but then I realized that this would not be right. The fact that I have to start over, certainly offers me the opportunity to do things that I would have done differently to really do things differently.

@ reneuend: Yes, now i am going to backup my files everyday, from now on. :!:

@ all: I?ve restored the Material Library, which was on a backup-tape! But i didn't backup the other files, so they will never be restored.

Well, I just imagine how frustrating it can be to lose your data... It almost happened to me during the production of ASA, because my hard drive suddenly died. Happily, I had everything backed up, or almost. This was a very awful period of the production, and I lost a lot of time and efforts.
However, if you're still motivated to work on your game, and if you're ready to start again from the very beginning, I just can't do anything else but cheer you up. I'm VERY curious in your game project, and I defintely want to see Mytho come to life. If I can help, let me know.
By the way, if you decide to use other softwares, I would recommand you have a look at the Maxwell Render engine, which allows to create realistic lightings and shaders in no time. I never used it myself except during my studies, but I think it's a great software for AM users who work specifically with static pictures.
You can have a look at the Maxwell website here http://www.maxwellrender.com/ and watch the galery of 3D pictures here : http://www.maxwellrender.com/index.php/gallery/images

My aunt, Beate, mailed me: She said, that i should wait with the publishion of Mytho, since she want to bring in her own ideas. But she said, she feels sick, and it would take up to three month, until i can meet her. I know, bad news, but, i am sure that she has got great ideas, because her ideas so far were exciting. Until i?ll met her, i am going to use the time improving my own ideas.

I just wanted to say, that i didn't forgot Mytho. However, i have got many other things to do, and i've a very close friend since March 2014, and i usually use my free time to phone with him, or to visit him. Hi lives 750 Kilometers away. But i am looking forward to 2015 and i hope, that i'll be able to realize all the ideas about Mytho, i've got so far. Unfortunately, my Aunt died yesterday.

Thank you so much for all the condolences! I forgot, that i wrote about my aunt, which helps me with mytho, in this thread. In order to prevent misunderstanding: The aunt, which helps me with mytho, is still alive and she's OK. When i wrote, that my aunt died, i didn't remember the fact, that i wrote about my other aunt before. Sorry.
