Do you think AM Free can be a valid solution for what you need?
PIPMAK http://pipmak.sourceforge.net is a very flexible game engine:
-3D cubic panorama, using six different picture up to 2048x2048 FOR SIDE
-Possibility to use very irregular hotspot by using an image as map-3D sound engine, the volume change by the direction you are looking
-Waste choice of transition effects (blending,rotating,wipe...)
-Advanced input control: all mouse event(over, leave, down,up and clicklock and position) Key-comb("a" is different from "A", meaning SHIFT+A)
-support for fully customizable inventory, even in pano mode
-Fully programmable with a very easy and C++like powerful language, don't need plugins
-Hi-res Exile style cursors set
-Cursor can be locked and unlocked from the center of the screen
-hierarchy-based project. Can be packed in one file .pipmak
-Multi platform games, runtime is aviable for win mac and linux
- support for playing video is not yet implemented however you can found a solution

ABSOLUTELY FREE AND OPENSOURCE
The project is very young (v0.2.5) but with some contribute can become bigger http://sourceforge.net/projects/pipmak/
You can also freely sell your games in order to gain some dollars without paying anything always respecting the GPL license of this softwares

Don't warry! Download also the project demo and examine it, the programming language is very easy to use and really powerful! Further more, in the next release will be included an hotspot editor and water rippling effect, also in pano mode i suppose.
Other similar projects are under development on SourceForge.net

Sorry GM, but i think users must feel free to choose. If they need AM they will buy AM.[/url]

Wow, thats looks very, very promissing

Just tried the virtual house tour... pretty smooth !

Duty, m8. Download the 'PIPMAK Project Demo' too!
Yes, it has potential.. but it need a community support :?

...I'm almost thinking to use it for realize my game
---------------------------------------------------------------------
TO DO:
Multi-CD (or otherwise scattered around the filesystem) projects.

Windows: Investigate whether it's possible to include the 'Pipmak Resources' archive in the executable (like these self-extracting zip files) and still access it through PhysicsFS.

Graphical editing features:
o hotspot painting
o project map to draw links between nodes
o interactive patch placement

Lighting effects: flickering light, sunglare, ...

Rippling water.

Bugs flying around (like in Riven).

Wow Kain! It's very powerful, LUA is a professional scripting used also in FarCry and PainKiller. Create a game is easy to understand; the pano effect, hotspot system and mouse and keyboard management is surely better than AM. It doesn't support movies but it's possible sequence all static frames of an animation by scripting and the result is good
