Internet Explorer 8 doesn't work well with entering messages

Postby reneuend » Sun Jun 21, 2009 10:16 pm

Has anyone else had an issue with IE8 when entering messages? If I write enough to cause a vertical slide bar to show up, then as I type, it bounces to the top of the message. It's very annoying! I'll have to try FF and see if I get the same issue with it.

Same problem here.... frustrating. I guess that I need to write shorter posts. I had to get around it by typing my response in a text editor with the html codes in it and then pasting it into the reply window. :?

You don't have to take any updates..just instead of going to Express Install[recommended] or whatever it says..do a [Custom Intall]..then u can choose your updates..I'm pretty sure u can do that with any O.S...I also chose not to take SP3 cause it's huge..and really..why fix something that isn't broken..llol..

To go back..for those that are interested..just follow these directions..according to your operating system..and whether or not u installed it with SP 3 or it came separately..It explains it here..

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700

Hope that helps..there is also documentation on how to fix certain issues..in case it might fix this as well..~ There is a compatibility view option u can use i believe...

I wasn't sure the problem was because of my PC or IE8 since I hadn't heard anyone else complain about it. Now that I know it's IE8, I'll fix it.

Thanks for the links, Mercedes. :)
