Darl Fall 3

Postby Dalton » Mon Dec 07, 2009 1:16 am

Hi.
I?m playing this game and i have to say: it?s wonderfull! Does anyone knows what engine was used in this game? Because there?s a lot of things like "grab and drag objects" that it would be great to use in the games developed on the adventure maker engine.

Yes. But the drag and drop i was saying is like the nintendo wii interaction, you know (when you grab something and throw away, etc)? In the Dark Fall 3 (lost souls) there a lot of this, but using the mouse. I?m trying to find the name of the Dark Fall 3 engine.

It can be implemented on AM using physics equations.
just have your projectile move with a starting speed and decceleration
Hotspot(index).left=hotspot(index).left+startingspeed*time-1/2*decceleration*time^2

Jonathan Boakes made the first Dark Fall with Director, not sure about Dark Fall 2. His Lost Crown was made with Wintermute Engine and Dark Fall: Lost Souls (#3) is as well.

I?ve finished Dark Fall 3 today. It?s wonderfull, but it?s a really short game, and the final should be better. The graphics are wonderfull! I wish i could create 3D graphics like that (yeah, maybe when i stop to use the the mouse and then use a opitical pen...). I wonder what program did he use to give the the aspect of professional painting in the scenarios...
About The last Crown, the game is bigger than Dark Fall 3 and is really great. Yeah, the wintermute engine surprised me. i?ve already tryed to create some games using the wintermute engine but i think it is a very complicated engine for people like me (i don?t know nothing about programing codes, etc).
By the way, my game (Black Wish Chronicles) is almost done, some bugs to fix but i hope i can upload in the end of this month. Now the game has 7 places to explore and a lot of things to interact. :D
