New forum dedicated to Visual Basic Game programming

Postby reneuend » Fri Sep 24, 2010 2:22 am

A new forum has been started by JasonMc and myself for those using AdventureMaker or anyone wanting to build games using Visual Basic.

Since no one knows if AM is going to be updated for Windows 7, or "heaven forbid", cancelled altogether, this is an alternative to continue working with other AM members using Visual Basic. I would strongly suggest that you at least sign up just in case the AM site goes down permanently.

At the very least, this new site will show you the possibilities of VB inside AM or as a standalone VB game.

Let us hope that GM will continue to support AM and build a Windows 7 release, but it doesn't hurt to put your eggs in 2 baskets!

I wondered what had happened in the last few days as AM came up as "account suspended". I emailed different people including "ShadowHunter" & realized how everything could just dissapear overnight. This is a great idea, instead of losing contact with AM developers. Great support! Great game engine! If only "Windows 7" was supported!!! Did anyone else notice this site was blocked?

Yup, we noticed. That's why we all migrated like frostbitten geese.
