Well there are various programs. Some harder than the other. Try google sketchup. It's probably the easiest I've used.

Blender http://www.blender.org. Not so easy, but about me more powerful of 3DS. It's free, light and open source! don't let you discouraged, once you have learned you can do everything!

Blender is amazing, seriously difficult learning curve though, I am just starting to skim the surface...
