I am using PunchPro home design software along with some good ol photoshop, it works ok, not very realistic looking, but I suppose it does the trick. Anybody else use this kind of stuff? I am terrible at 3d studio max, so I am looking for easier ways to build rooms...

any suggestions....?

I also used Punch AS4000, you can see some images I created in topic "Some images" in the Artwork category. I think it works well, however if you learn 3d-modelling well, that's a big step forward. I think there is not much methods to get realistic pictures.... make as good home-designer-pics as possible, learn 3d-modelling or take photos. Or make games in a different style, like cartoon or comic.

If I remember correctly lighting was done in AS4000, only blur effect and some adjusting were done in photoshop.

For me, the best architecture program is Home Designer 3D Deluxe Edition. Plus it's not expensive, something like 50 dollars or so when I bought it... :D But that was, huh, 2 years ago?
