I don't know any solutions if you don't want to get a fourth program, but I can tell you that Vue 5 which I use is compatible with all the programs you have mentioned. Or at least it worked for me.

when going from poser to bryce the best format to use is
the lightwave .obj format. that seems to work best going in or out
of poser actually. just make sure you put your textures in the same
directory as your models or at least know where the textures are
located when and if you are prompted to find them. It will place every
texture where it belongs. If 3dmax can save to this format then
that should be all set too.
i do this quite often in developing my games.

cheers

did not work, the only format 3ds max can import that poser 6 can export is 3d studio and if i use that the result is like this (i know the background is bad i did it in 10 min  )

well thats unfortunate that 3dmax has limited file formats.
what you can do for characters is render your image in 3d max
then use that image as a background in poser for
your character. placement of the shadows will create a more
realistic look. one possibe alternative.

thats what i did below.

Hi DrZero,
Are the texture files in the same folder as your 3ds mesh file? Poser stores the location of the texture files in the PZ3 file so they can be anywhere on your computer, but I believe that 3ds files require the maps to be in the same folder as the mesh.

The e-Frontier people who make Poser also sell a 3dsMax plug-in. Info on it is here ---
