Say, reneuend, do you think using a 3D program to at least help you set up your scene perspective and item placement may help with designing your 2D drawings? By just using primitive shapes (cube, sphere, cone, etc.) as placeholders, you may be able to set things up before you commit to drawing to see if you like the perspective or not. It may help speed things up.

That's why I got into doing 3D; I could have the option of creating both 2D and 3D images fairly quickly and once I was finished with a 3D scene, I could view it and render if from different angles, perspectives and use different textures, colors, etc. I don't have to start from scratch when I want/need a different look. So that is a big plus for me when using 3D.
