cheers!...making a set of items (before i need them) which might fit the game, helps to keep the process flowing and saves confusion... i can then use them straight away (click click bang they're in the game) instead of having to stop and spend an hour making a new item every time...with all the resultant mither and distraction involved..
thought whilst i was there no harm letting other folks use them as well...for exactly the same reasons!!
top tip for newbies--(and me)
the transparent gif versions are VERY handy...for two reasons
one- you don't have to build the item into the main 3d scenery and background (you place and resize the hotspot and image to stretch/compress the image to suit most perspectives)
Two you can remove the item after picking it up by simply disabling the hotspot...
so you can have a completely EMPTY desk drawer as the model for a scene and place any item you want into the drawer via the transparent gifs....which of course also means you can re-use that open drawer graphic again and again...
lovely jubbly...saves a lot of fiddly duplicated work
even if i do say so myself!
PS:
i've knocked up a quick web page...to store my AM stuff on
you can see some of the transparent gif versions of the items displayed on the page...they will look perfectly acceptable when placed on desks in drawers anywhere really...works a treat...
