Scrolling Background?

Postby Korrupt_Ikonz » Mon Jul 30, 2007 12:39 pm

I have a background that is 1140 x 480 and my screen size is set to 640 x 480. I also have the third-person plugin enabled so it shows my character. I have a few questions.

1. How do I make my character move anywhere without making a hotspot? Just my clicking on a place somewhere and he moves.

2. How do I make my background scroll so I can go to the other end? It on shows half of it.

Thank You

1. I think you'd ned to use ShadowHunter's HotSpot Magic plugin to make a large grid of hotspots.

2. I think you'll need to use the KeyGuard plugin, but it would be hard.

You'd cut out the left 640 x 480 and use that as one frame. Then create a hotspot on the right side of the frame and choose to access that by hovering your mouse over it (KeyGuard). Then cut out the right 640 x 480 and put it in the next frame. Make the first hotspot you made lead to the second frame, then create a hotspot on the left side of the second frame, choose to access by hovering, and lead it to the first frame. Presto, a scrolling background!

I'd like to see that in your game.
