Looping video question...

Postby ZeornWarlock » Tue Jun 24, 2008 11:54 pm

Hi guys,

Looping videos called by hotspots cannot go on forever in the free version of AM. Can we script such videos to go on forever in the full version?

Thanks.

have a look at the controls here.

To stop the looping video number 1, use the following code:
LoopingVideo(1).Pause

To resume playback of the looping video number 1, use the following code:
LoopingVideo(1).Play

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, Candle. A useful one at that, but it is not what I am looking for... exactly.

You see, we have two ways of using looping videos in the free version.

One is to add a video in the hotspot, which will play immediately, where we can check a box to see if it will loop and how long it loops etc.

The other way we can add one, is "if" the player clicks on the hotspot. This is the one, which I need to know if it is possible that once a player clicks on, the video loops forever. Without a script, the video will just play once.

Thanks.

it will keep playing as I just tried it . :)
Just check the box to loop and hide the video till the hot spot is clicked.

Candle,

where exactly is that check box in the free version? Because I feel even more "DUH" at me right now! I just cannot find it! It is neither in the frame or hotspot properties....

Thanks.

When you make the hotspot it will be right there.

Candle,

By your picture, it looks like I was doing this right, however I want the video to appear "once" the player clicks on the hotspot. The problem I am having is that the video already plays before the Player clicks on the hotspot. (It even plays during settup in AM.)

Click on the variables tab and set it so you can't see it till the click.

Okay thanks again, Candle. I will try that. By the way, is there a "do once" command in VB scripting?

I am pretty sure you can have a variable add one when the video starts, then set the video to stop when the variable is > 1.
