Converting AM File back into Project Folder

Postby blackshade9 » Thu Aug 28, 2008 8:43 am

I've been working on a project for several weeks, but lost the original Project Folder during a disk crash. I have a compressed AM file of the project posted online; I was wondering if it is possible to convert the file back into a Project Folder without losing all the information.

Hi there..Welcome to the Forums..:)

sorry to hear you lost all info..:(.. That's alot of work there i'm sure..

Can you not just download it..like a user would?...Unzip it...and then go through Windows Explorer on your PC and copy all info into a new project...or simply just open it in AM..

If its a Zip file..i would think you could do that..not with an .EXE..but a zip you could...even a .AM1 you could if its zipped..I beleive so~

There's only one way to find out..;)

Peace~

Hi,

Not sure in what version you made the project but long time ago I made a tool called Game2Source (dear lord, its been already 5 years ago)

The scenario you describe matches exactly why I made the tool :D

However at the time nobody showed intrest in this tool so I did not updated it...

You can find it on my website if you like.

With best regards,
