Small Game: Enemy Catch - Screenshot Inside...

Postby Chromegloss55 » Mon Sep 15, 2008 5:13 pm

Hi...

I'm hoping to release my first AM game (how exciting!) very shortly.

This game, is a small project that I've been working on for a while now. Basically it's a game played on a grid. You are a yellow circle that can move up, down, left or right. Your objective is to collect all the crowns. Sounds simple enough right?

Wrong...

Unfortunately for you, little devils roam the grid as well and as they move around the grid, the squares they inhabited are made uninhabitable. Luckily, you can make the squares traversable again, but for this you sacrifice a turn.

As the levels progress, you will have to use clever strategy to avoid getting caught by the enemy. If you lose, it's back to level one!

On the grid, there are collectable items that increase your score. The aim of the game is to score as highly as you can.

As the levels progress you will also gain a number of power-ups such as shields that make you invincible, mines that blow up enemies and speed boosts that let you move two or three squares at a time.

The game is very simple, but quite addictive and I think once I release it you'll enjoy it.

Expect the release soon!!!

Sounds exciting! I'm looking forward to seeing what can be made with AM apart from the usual point-and-click games :D

That looks like you'd have to use a lot of code. I'm too impatient. I like to make my games quickly and then post them. lol

If I would make a big game with lots of VBS I would need lots of help. I'd like to make a match the pictures game but wouldnt know how to do that or where to start.
