Surface Deep Score...

Postby Chromegloss55 » Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:01 am

Hey there, I've decided to change the thread title...

I'm now pleased to announce that I will be composing for Zenoc2's new game: "Surface Deep".

This thread will be dedicated to providing updates on the musical side of production where samples will be posted and hopefully I can receive some feedback.

The main surface deep theme is attached to this post...

C-O-O-L!
My sig changes more often than Doctor Who (see your national BBC channel) regenarates into new melancholy actors. Oh look, Matt Smith! Gerard Butler! Colin Mochrie! That wolf from Twilight: New Moon!

I love it! Are you planning to use it in one of your games? If not, I could use a song like that...

EDIT: Since you've updated your first post, I may as well update mine. I am indeed going to use that theme.

Really?! That's great! I can't compose music, and at the moment, I'm a one-man game studio. :)

The game I'm working on right now is the one I posted about in the storylines section, called Truth. This little sample you posted would be great for a title screen or something. There are three parts to the game: one is a beautiful city with statues, fountains, and architecture in the style of Madrid, Spain. Another is underground, dark, but not really with a cold feel about it, so much as a sad one. A third is miscellaneous areas, e.g. a graveyard, an empty sunny beach, a rocky mountain trail... it's a really diverse game.

That sounds like a great challenge from a musical point of view. Obviously I'd have to use software other than MM to achieve some of what you're going for (I may have to play parts of it on a keyboard in achieve a more natural sound).

But, yes, I'd love to compose for parts of your game. Just let me know if you want me to.
