Project Genesis, new game under development!

Postby stargazer_1988 » Wed Dec 10, 2008 10:32 pm

Hello,

I am creating a new game called project Genesis set on Mars.
The story is that a large space station built on mars has mysteriously lost all of its crew, they have vanished without trace. You are sent in too investigate, this scientific wildlife project is teeming with insect life etc under large domes built on the surface of mars.

The main features are a 3D inventory system,
Full screen 1024x768,
Full motion mystery characters like in the game riven, which I am still working on, filming etc, tough task,
Interactive help system with lip sync character done using flash,
Here are some of the shots to the game, I made with Cinema 4D,
Hope to be a demo soon :D
currently 10% complete.

Wow. Is this your first game? These are very impressive. I've always wanted to make a space station game...

Hope to try out the demo soon! Keep up the good work!

This is his second. Actually, you haven't made 1.0 on House yet, and you make another great game. Looks good so far... I mean... err... uhh... *shuts down from sheer awesomeness*...
My sig changes more often than Doctor Who (see your national BBC channel) regenarates into new melancholy actors. Oh look, Matt Smith! Gerard Butler! Colin Mochrie! That wolf from Twilight: New Moon!

OMG!!! GREAT QUALITY AND MY FAVORITE SCENARIO (I love DooM series)...

Are you filming with green screen? If yes, it is easy to mask out the green areas using Adobe After Effects and some plugins, if the quality of the green screen is good...

Yes, I have used green screen before, works well although I have video editing software that can remove any colour and adjust tolerence so you get no colour around the edges. After effects is great software I do have this, maybe I will look closer at this but I am not so up on it :D

I did actually make a DOOM fan game FPS a few years back, it was a bit buggy though :? but it was good fun!!

More screen shots and update!!

Postby stargazer_1988 » Mon Dec 15, 2008 12:07 am

Hi,

The Demo of the game will be pretty soon within a week I guess, I have had some trouble doing the green screen stuff so that's on hold... :?

I have fully rendered deep space scenes which are pretty nice, and also I have animated butterflies within the garden, which works nice too.

Here are some updated screen shots,

regards,
