newbie to this part of the web here just looking around seeing what the program is capapble of. so, while i'm here i thought i'd share some renders from sketchup using podium and a little photoshop (PS is only used for brightness & linework. & also if anyone is looking for some scene renders msg me, always willing to help out.

At some point dont know exactly when though I will be looking to put a team together to complete a game so anyone who is handy with character designs, smooth walk cycles etc, that would fit into the style of renders attached would be greatly appreciated

well thats me done babbling for a bit, watch this space an' all that!

Wow... great designs!
My sig changes more often than Doctor Who (see your national BBC channel) regenarates into new melancholy actors. Oh look, Matt Smith! Gerard Butler! Colin Mochrie! That wolf from Twilight: New Moon!

Very nice. I'd be interested in seeing any games your artwork ends up in!

Thanks for sharing.

Question: where do you get your 3D people? Those are really good-looking. And was it one of my posts on the Podium forums that turned you on to Adventure Maker? If so, then YES! I recruited another game-maker without meaning to! :P

Also, great renders, but some of them look a little grainy. Are they supposed to look like they're on canvas?

yea their supposed to look like that I use that canvas look as an anti theft deterrent works better than a complicated watermark i find.yea you did kinda turn me on to adventure maker, i've been looking to create point and clicks for years but never found anything that was simple enough to get the job done without any fuss and lo and behold you walked into the podium forum with adventure maker so ta for that lol.

and a little tip when your exporting renders from sketchup to get the 'realism' and a tiny little bit of grain & or some glow in photoshop under filter distort. In gimp it's filters > artistic > softglow never been able to add noise sucessfully in gimp but the glow works ok

p.s. the chracters in the office scenes were 3d max characters i found that were low poly from axyz i think they are the studio charctaer was a daz model that crippled skethup when i brought it in to render!

Thanks all, Lyberdoggy I moved from 3ds max because of its complexity to achieve the simplest of tasks it bored me to tears lol why spends hundereds of bucks on software that a free one can do in half the time!

Something like creating games in AM vs creating (same type of) games in Visual Studio...
