Runtime error in AM running under Windows Server

I am running Windows Server 2008 with multimedia (DirectX etc. installed).

The steps are:

Install AM in e:\program files
Launch, all OK.
Load Panorama Demo WITHOUT Scripting, all OK.
Click on switch hotspot.

Error executing script.
The scripting Engine returned the following error message

Automation error
Unspecified error

Please click ... etc.

Tried reinstalling AM and installing outside of Program Files. Not sure what to do next.

Hi there... Welcome to the Forums..

Just a few questions

..Did u by chance do anything at all..add script or anything..Move the frame around before u started to Test or View it..? Add or change anything in the Project Properties..resolution..etc..

And was t hat the full version u installed or the Free Version u installed..Where did u get it more or less...

Also did u attempt to put it in C:/program files...as opposed to E..Not sure if that would make a difference or not..

This is the Free Version downloaded direct from the site. I didn't change or alter anything at all. Just ran the demo file as supplied.

I tried installing it outside of Program Files, because I have heard that permissions are tricky in Vista/Server08 machines. But that didn't seem to help. I can try C: and C:\program files as well.

The examples for iPhone worked fine. So it is whatever 'automation' refers to, which is Visual Basic?

I'll try the other Vista tricks covered here as well, thanks.

Automation errors refer to VBObjects not handled properly most of the time...
I 'd say that there could be incompatibilities between a Windows server and a Windows 98/2000/XP based computer, like the lack of some shared libraries (dlls)
