why opens my Flash movie in different size as my frame size?

Postby michaelm » Sun Jul 05, 2009 9:56 pm

I have made a frame with a hotspot linking to a swf (flash) movie.
Both the frame as well the flash movie use the same background graphic, which is 800 x 563 pixel.

But while I have set the frames in AM to 800 x 563 and the document size in fla also to 800 x 563, the swf appears in a different size???

Also I get a white border at the top and the bottom of the flash movie, so the next picture is smaller than the frame before (and it should be exactly the same)

Please can someone give me a tipp how to solve this? :?:

HI there..!~ Welcome to the Forums..:D

I'll try to help.. I don't use flash movies..but I'll try..:)

What program did you use to make the movie in?

Some programs..even though u may have chosen to use 800*563 resolution size...for pictures..

Did you have to import pictures or did u make them right in the software..?
If you imported them in..;

Is there any possibility the program itself only saves in a smaller format..

Some video software, is like that..without knowing what software u are using to make the movie..hard to tell..

Let us know..:)

Thanks

Peace~

Here are a couple of things i've read..

Is there any transparency..used for making the video...?

Also, do u have borders checked on or off? It will make them black instead of white..?

Also AM has size options too for the movie..i think you can adjust in there too..

Maybe this might help..? I"ll look around some more too..:) I'm assuming you are using Action Script to make the movie..?

Here are a bunch of suggestions..not sure if any will work..

I think it's a flash related issue..not AM..is why i'm suggesting these..At least it sounds like it might be..

Welcome to the forums michaelm :)

I have never had issues with flash movies in AM, but I have never used an unusual height like you (563 px), so that this might make a difference. I usually used 640x480, but I assume 800x600 might be working well, too.

Have you set the correct coordinates on the Plugins tab of the Frame Properties?
If so, what happens if you try to make the flash movie a bit bigger?

Thanks for the tipps again, it was really a question of sizing the swf.

Now I have another problem with a swf file which will not open correctly when I call it from AM.

See my post at:

Do you have any ideas?
