AM working on current (unhacked) 5.X firmware?

Postby dekad » Mon Jul 06, 2009 1:20 am

Hi all!
I stumbled over am by chance and I?m very impressed!

Unfortunately I encountered one major problem:

I just can?t get the games onto the psp!

I used the step by step instructions from the faq page and the example games with the on/off light and the opened door.

Everything went fine until I ran the "install".exe

after "waiting for usb connection" nothing happens at all.

The psp is a slim one with 5.1 firmware.
might this be the cause?

Please help!

Hey, Welcome to the forums!

Noone's ever reported this again as far as I 'm concerned, so you will need to talk with our PSP experts. However, I don't think that it's a compatibility problem

Maybe you are not installing it right or the usb is not properly plugged in

the usb-connection is definitely ok.
I even ran the installation .exe from the memorystick and still got the same result.

So where can I find the PSP experts :?:

Hi there..Welcome to the Forums!~.:D

Everything went fine until I ran the "install".exe

Isn't the file called ''SetUp.exe''...not install.exe...

Or is that just a typo..either here or on the FAQ page..I'm going by the FAQ page..

Also, this is a best guess, but is it plugged into usb port 2.0..?

1) Um, yes it?s called setup.exe.

2) You are also right about the Usb port.
is there a fix for the problem?

HI there..:D

I mentioned it because you were calling the file ''install.exe'' not ''setup.exe'', but I gather you do know that and have used the correct file..

You tried to compile the free game that came with AM as well, Compiled it and it didn't work..?

Just a couple of things;

When u run the file..make sure that you wait to plug into port, till it prompts you, sometimes if u plug in ahead of time..it may not work correctly--Not sure if u did or not..just thought i should mention it..:)--Then hit OK if prompted..

Are you plugging into BACK of PC, or using the port in the front?--an extension of any kind..ect..

Are you running FULL version of AM or FREE version of AM ?--This may or may not make a difference..~

Let us know ..thanks..See if we can't figure it out..:)

Also, do the other games play well for you too..? Are you able to compile an EXE file --Windows Format?--[If you have full version]--Or AM1 File-if using FREE version..

Also you are using the latest download from AM..of AM...Btw, what do you mean by ''Unhacked''..not sure i understand that..

Thanks..!~

Peace

Unhacked firmware means that it can't play pirated games. To make PSP play pirated games, hackers have tweaked its firmware each time a new one came out
