Yes a new project under development.
But not alone this time, Lyberodoggy and I have joined forces to attempt a project I had pretty much scrapped.

Breath:

We have chosen not to give to much away in the storylline apart from a few little things like the first bit of dialouge and some pics and a basic intro to what the plot may contain.

You are the pilot of one man resarch POD commonly used for deep sea drilling, Being hired to pilot the POD on a very closed lip research project headed up by one Professor O'Brisk.

You arrive onboard a military vessel only to be locked away until the time of launch with visitors and no idea. The morning of the launch is now and you geared up and seated in the POD....

Dyson:
Operators Log 0900 hours, about to embark on exploration mission coded ?Deep Waters?. Normally I do deep sea drilling and rescue work, but since I am the most qualified operator of the POD developed by Hansen Feldon I have become the most likely choice for this task more than likely. Speaking of which I have been told very little except that I am to collect data for one Professor O?Brisk, can?t say I know much about him either. I have been summoned to the edge of the Bermuda Triangle and have been ordered to plunge at 0915 hours. The decent should take about 20 minutes?.

(Radio Static)

Colson:
Good Morning Sir. My name is Lt Colson. I will be your Comm?s officer, so don?t be afraid to relay any messages and talk about what you?re viewing down there. Over.

Dyson:
You could give me some warning before you just jump in like that next time Colson, I was recording a log. Over.

Colson: Sorry sir, Just wanted to get acquainted. Over.

Dyson: Blasted military jar heads.

Colson: Um sir, you?re still broadcasting. Over.

Dyson: *growls*

Colson: Sir I have Proffesor O?Brisk here with me, He would to say a few words. Over.

Dyson: Put him on, the more interruptions the better. Over.

OBrisk: Terribly sorry for the inconvenience Mr Dyson. Would you like us to postpone the launch until you are ready hmm?

Dyson: Great ?a smart comic professor.

O?Brisk: Of course I am Mr Dyson, After all they wouldn?t allow any blasted fool to head up this research would they. Plus they need me to liaison with the jar head generals.

Dyson: *laughs* I like your style, But seriously I?m the one the POD not you professor and drop the mister, the name is Dyson ..I don?t remember seeing a ?Mister? as part of my name on my birth certificate

O?Brisk: Very well Dyson, just call me O?Brisk, Professor makes me sound old. You are the best person I could see for the job and trust me your in good hands.

Dyson: You picked me for this job. Man. I?m not a scientist, O?Brisk so don?t expect much in the way of jargon to explain things.

O?Brisk: Oh not to worry Dyson, I hear Felldon has made a few last minute enhancements to the POD so we can see what you are seeing as you broadcast.

Dyson: A few enhancements, Like what?

Felldon: Hello Dyson, Enhancements like the new onboard camera, console overrides and a few little add ons, due to the fact that this isn?t a drilling job.

Dyson: Felldon, Christ they got you on that tub too, did they call my mother as well?

Felldon: I?m afraid not, But I can arrange it if you like?

Dyson: Uh, No. Well I?m coming up on 0913 hours. Better get ready.

Felldon: Good luck Dyson.

Colson: Final countdown prep commencing. Over.

Dyson: Im ready for launch.

Colson: Launch in, 10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1. Drop.

Very interesting story. I like the way you write dialog too. But how can it be PG and M at the same time?

I would go with PG-13 and M, but maybe it's different outside the U.S.

Anyway, the reason I like this idea so much is because it reminds me of some of my favorite science fiction movies.

Agreed Zenoc2.

I will probably redo the rating once the game is finished, But as an update to everyone.

All is going well. First part is underway and we should probably have the first section done within one to two months.

If the group and I decide to we may put some images out just as a tease.

We want to have the first frames ready in order to present proof that our project is up and running AND to give ideas about what is needed.

I take it the bulk of that statement is directed at me, huh? :) I can try and whip up some screens, for all those eagerly waiting on our little project, and for the composer to get a feel for the mood of the game. It would be good to establish our visual style too.

Well, since I'm busy till the end of June and then Black Keep OST will get first priorty I won't promise anything but maybe I can help you if what I can provide and you do find the common point :) I mean if you need my help. But don't expect any results quickly, yet Black Keep is first priorty for me yet :wink:

To all who are not aware, I unfortunately had to leave for a little while due to some problem (no no nothing to do with the game or such like).. just some relocation problems and such like.

I know how difficult it is trying to work on projects when everyone isnt always available... So I apologise for dropping the ball so to speak.

Quick question... will there be any future Freethinkers projects?

If nay: Then that's okay (Hey that rhymed! And just in time!)

If yay: Is the Breath project leaving you so OUT OF BREATH (irony!) that it'll be about another few or several months

or

so energetic the story will come to mind and topic 4 to 10 weeks! (More likely the earlier one I know.)

OR AGAIN...

There will hopefully be more projects after "Breath".
and I agree with Lyberodoggy, FreeThinkers is still working very hard on the project.

I would like to see more projects in the future as it is a very good team with lots of different skills and talents...
