Project size?

Postby Loll » Sun Aug 30, 2009 11:15 pm

As my project increases in size, I'm at about 160 frames/100mb, it occurs to me to wander if a very big project will be stable. I will most likely be approaching 500/600 frame and at least 500mb when (I won't say if) all is complete.
The thought of investing a years work and finding out the program won't cope is frightening. Has anyone tested a game this size???

Worried but optimistically

I 've never tested a game that long -not one that I remember of anyways...
Still, it's certain that it's gonna be stable. It's gonna be a big trouble to maintain it too though

I think it depends on a lot on why it's this big! If it's because there is a lot of video, then it probably won't be so bad.

Really though, I would love to see a game that was this size! :)

I'm wondering would it have anything to do with size of initial pictures...Are u using .bmp format...You can try the resize and batch that come with AM...to try and make the project pictures smaller..

Also u can convert here..It will help in mb's..As for a 160 frames..that's really not that bad..If u think about it..The games like, Ravenhurst..ect..have a massive amount of frames..The only thing i would think would be an issue is the loading time..between frames for users who play it..

www.media-convert.com

Hope that helps :D

Peace~
