Sugestion: A Grab and shake plugin

Postby Dalton » Sun Aug 30, 2009 2:26 am

I was thinking: it would be great a "Grab`n Shake" plugin for AM. You know, if the gamer wants to shake a Beer Bottle to know if there is something inside for example, he press one of the mouse buttons and holds it while he moves the mouse to the sides of the mousepad. :D

You could do this with the latest KeyGuard using an animated mouse cursor!

You can use the KG plugin. Just store the last x position and the current one, then
if xprev<xcurr then
shaketoright
else if xprev>xcurr then
shaketoleft
end if
end if

Where shaketoright and shaketoleft can be the two procedures that change the bottle's pic accordingly

Is there a way to use the KeyGuard to do this?

http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/14325477 ... ough2.html

It?s the new Silent Hill, and there is a lot of nice ideias, like for exemple, the shaking bottle, etc... that?s what i was thinking to do, this kind of interaction, but using the mouse. :D

There's no way to do all of the things that commercial full 3d blockbusters do in AM, but yes you can simulate some of them

Here are a few things you may be able to simulate..--with a bit of work

1--Open the slider door
2--Flash light
3--Use Keygaurd to make the Can--as a cursor--then use a 'Move'' command...Might even be an easier way..I don't think that would be that hard..Once you load the cursor--[CAN]..It would automatically move, with the hand~ You would just have to improvise the throwing down..It's the sound that makes that technique more effective..~
4--Earth Quake plugin--slamming doors, or cupboards..
5--Flash or Animation or Video--for any Key opening a door..
6--Keguard with Pano, so you can scan the room..
7--The Zipper [opening the zipper] can be done with an animation or again Keyguard and cursor
8--Particle plugin for the snow you see outside..lights..

If I think of any more..I'll post it here..:)

The only drag about any of this...Is if you used the 3rd person plugin--It's not compatible with many other plugins..:(

Peace
