SimpleMenu Plugin?

Postby Ikonz101 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 3:09 am

Is SimpleMenu Plugin compatible with AM 4.5? Also the link seems to not be working. Does anyone have a link that works for download?

Thank You

Hm...yes some of our plug-ins are missing..
I never tried that one..So i don't have it...All we can hope for is for someone to have already downloaded it a while ago and still has it...who can share it with us..or who wants to re-develop the plug-in again...

Anyone..?:D

As an alternative;

There are several icons in there..u can have them hover over top of the hotspots..as a single option...Or use keyguard having all of them..close to each other as hovers..
Or, you can make your own menu ..using these same icons..and have code in the advanced of each hotspot..You would use the Question mark as the hover..Once they clicked the ? they could then have the option to; This being your menu~ All of these icons come with AM~

Talk-mouth,
Use-Wrench,
Look-Magnifier
Take-Any hand-I would use the white with trim..but that's me..lol..
Walk-Foot

This would appear at the side..or whereever..U would load each hotspot at the same time...
If you use KG...you could have each hover close by to the object..then the user could have each option to click..But they wouldn't' appear unless they hovered near the object...Sort of in a circle/square at the top of the it..

This being an alternative if someone doesn't have this...

I wouldn't say it's weird. I'm constantly trying to come up with a new idea for a menu that is unique.

I had this plugin a long long time ago. But I have reformatted my PC and lost it. Why do half the links not work in the AM Plugins Section? Where is GM lately he is MIA :D

Is there a way to change the icons on the simple menu? If so would I edit this through the .ocx file and what program can edit .ocx files?

Thank You

OCX is a Microsoft ActiveX Control. I don't think you can edit it directly because it's compiled code. It is built using Microsoft Visual Studio. For AM plugins, you use VB6, which is an older VB version. I was lucky enough to have an older version of Visual Studio with VB6, as the latest is VB.Net.

Sorry, I can't help you with the simple menu plugin. I haven't used it. Does it say who the author is? Maybe they can help.

Ah I see. The author is GM I believe. It says author: Adventure Maker. Thank you for the input though.

How do you add code into a single line? I am using the Simple Menu Plugin and it only allows you to enter code on a single line. I want the code to do more then one thing. For example when you take a item I want it to hide the hotspot, put the item in inventory, and disable the inventory. I know the code put I can't put it into a single line without getting errors.

Example: Set Hotspot(10).Picture = Nothing, Hotspot(1).Enabled = False, Action.AddItem " Tape" (I know the commas are not suppose to be there. What would I use to make this line of code work?)

The plugin won't allow me to to hit enter and go tot the next line so I have to put this code into a single text field. How would I do this? I am sure it is possible.

Thank You
Ikonz101

Edit: Sorry Candle wasn't thinking.
