Art Contest

Postby time-killer-games » Wed Jan 05, 2011 4:05 pm

Hey everyone, from what I've seen here there is a lot of members with artistic gifts. Some art much better than anything I could ever pull off. For whoever wishes to draw something [digital] in particular for me I plan to pay them with about $50-70 thru paypal, depending on how good it is. I'd like to use the drawing in a future release of one of my games as well if that's ok ;-)

Here's what I'd like to see in the digital drawing:

-One creature with four faces and six wings.

-The four heads are facing on each side of the same head; north, south, east, and west.

-As for the likeness of the four faces, a lion, an ox, an eagle, and a man.

-Two wings cover the creature's body on each side, both front and back.

-Two wings are used to fly and are between each pair of wings that cover the body.

-Coals of fire and flashes of lightning surround the creature.

-The creature has the feet of a lamb and they burn with the color of bronze.

-The background, up high in the clouds with a light coming from behind the creature.

-The style is realism

That's it and thanks a lot to anyone who's interested!

What kind of drawing? 2D, 3D
Is there any particular style of drawing you are looking for? Maybe give an example that a potential artist can look at to get a feel of what you want.

You could basically turn this into a contest. Winner gets $50! :-)

I edited the topic and title. It's realism. Make it as real looking as you can.

Darn! I should have jumped into 3D modeling a long time ago! I'll try it, but knowing my competition, this will be for the pure fun of it.

.....just don't laugh too hard at my finished product!

@reneuend: You should have a look for sculpting tools like mudbox or zbrush.
I think you are more a artist then a builder :)

Mystery has also posted a free sculpting tool somewhere here at the forums.
It's ways away from a software like mudbox and zbrush, but it's way enough to get the feeling of sculpting.

I will update this thread, if I find the thread. In the moment I have no idea for the name of this free sculpting tool.

Perhaps Mystery finds it faster then me.
:)

Edit:
He he! I was faster:

There's one problem to this idea.. My parents disaprooved me spending money to get a drawing. even though it's my money to spend and not their's. No one get caught up in this expecting money. I guess I shouldn't have been so sure my parents were alright with it.

my bad.

That's okay.

Hmmmm....so, does that mean my sketch might be good enough!
I'll still try to put something together, but I'm not a 3D modeler...yet.
