Hi, I'm Cara. Just downloaded Adventure Maker and join the forums yesterday. I been playing with AM a little bit and so far I really like AM. I'm just wandering if I can make a dating game with the free Edition or will I need the full Edition to do that. Anyway, I look forward to making my first game. :D

Hello cara, welcome to the forums.
Making a simple dating game is a thing that AM free can do. You can use variables and Dialogues in the free version so it should be ok.
On the other hand, if you want to have features such as adding visual effects and utilizing more than just the point n click, variables and dialogues pack that goes with AM free, you should upgrade to AM full to enable scripting and plugins in your games and be able to create .exe files. With the free version you can only create packages for distribution, which work only when Adventure Maker is installed.

You can try the VBS and plugins features of AM without buying the full version but you have limitations. For more refer to the AM manual that comes along with the program in the download package.

It is hard work, but it's going well, thanks! :) Some of that RPG stuff will reflect in my AM projects too. ;)

After so long, I am back! My computer had a big crash and I couldn't get a new one till now! Sadly, my project is gone, except for a tiny bit on the flash drive.
My sig changes more often than Doctor Who (see your national BBC channel) regenarates into new melancholy actors. Oh look, Matt Smith! Gerard Butler! Colin Mochrie! That wolf from Twilight: New Moon!

I'm back with some news...
Although now I no have so much free time, I had to organize myself to get back to game development.
And I return with two new projects, for more info go to New Games Announcements section.
Do not expect news very often, I'm very busy, but I promise you news each week (or at least I will try it).

Best regards, Vairon.

PD: After several attempts to return I hope this is final.

Welcome (again) Brandon!

Nice to have you onboard. If you have questions along the way, don't hesitate to come out here and ask.

I would be failing in my duty as the AM Magazine editor if I didn't ask you to check out the magazines for helpful and interesting articles!

The next issue is going to be extremely awesome! It's due out early March.

Welcome to the forums Brandon!

Congrats on your marriage! :D

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost your job, this problem seems to be spreading around the world :?
Anyhow, in my experience if you have a job, you don't have time for your hobbies (game development), so if it's just a passing phase, hopefully you can use it for your creativity :)
And good luck for finding a new job soon.

I hope to see you around the forums :)

I'm finally back. I've been doing voice acting for several projects and between that, Community Theatre and schoolwork I haven't had much time for posting here. I'll still do my reviews for BbB and maybe even work on my game. Yay.

Hi to all!
I'm trying to get back to the normally after a period of latency. Now is online the new website of Luminy studios,
I hope you like the new design. It's in beta, you can find some bugs, I'm working on it.

Soon you'll have more news about The Firstborn ...

Best Regards, Vairon.

I forgot about this forum..thread
I had disappeared for quiet a while..Time flies doesn't it..? It's so fast..I turned 41 the other day..I barely remember turning 40..lol..Alot can happen in a year or so..

My mother got really sick..Then I did..It's what happens when you ignore your health..I'm still getting better..My health issues are more of a nuisance..then detrimental..Every 4-6mths it's something..You turn 40..Everything starts to fall apart..lol..

My mothers health has improved really well..Hers was very serious..
She was rushed to the hospital..was in intensive care..Then put on dialysis..Which i wouldn't wish on anyone.
3*'s a week at a hospital..Can't move 6-7hours at a time...>?
Thank God that's over with ...She's in her late 70's and very independent.

Anyhow..I'm back..really trying to get back into the swing of things..Making my first game..In a very long time..
I've missed this forum...and the ppl in it...It was alot of fun..I looked forward to reading it every day..
But then something happens..and you get sidetracked...I kept up with my videos..from time to time..But I could not concentrate on making a game..

I"m one of those ppl that when i start it... I have got to try and finish it all at once..If i get sidetracked..That's it..I've lost everything..I forget what variables are for what.. I make way to many variables.

When i first got back..all the forum threads...There were so many!..:D

Anyhow..I hope all is doing really well..:)

Its nice to hear from the past. I hope yall stick around for awhile. I still work on games, but not as fast as I used too. For one thing, I'm doing a lot with animation now so it takes longer...then of course there are other things in life that come along.

Mercedes, I'm glad you and your mom are doing better.
