SOLVED: Play video in own full screen window

Postby loettchen » Sat Mar 19, 2011 10:32 am

Hi there

As a complete newbie, I have just done my first steps with AM. Honestly, I love it! But even after searching help file and forums, I have not found an answer to my question:

When I click a hotspot, I want an avi video to display in an own window, full size. How can I do this?

When I tell the hotspot to play the video in full screen, it shows only one part of the video screen in the AM Game window. Actually, I want it to display in an own window. How can I do this?

Help appreciated :)
Thanks,
Loettchen

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

I'm not sure what you want to do, but I think you mean you want to play a video in another frame.
If so you have to go to another frame when clicking a hotspot and play your video in the new frame.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer. Actually, I want the video to open outside my game, in a player.

I tried with the plugins, i.e. converting my avi into swf and then play it as flash. No satisfying results. Best would be to play it in a separate player...

Any idea?

Cheers

If you want to open a player you can use the "OpenFile" command.
You will find a description in the language reference: http://adventuremaker.com/help/vbscript_reference.htm

Just scroll a bit down :)
