Problems to follow links here in the forum

Postby juhuwoorps » Thu Jun 09, 2011 4:14 pm

Hi at all!

Since 2 or 3 weeks I have big problems to follow links in the forum.

I also have big problems to send new posts or replays to existing posts.

I always get a server timeout error.

Does anyone of you have the same problems?

I'm using chrome 12 as browser.

Hey juhu. I also use chrome and links seem to open just fine.

Are you sure it's not an ISP problem or your router hasn't been overheating?

The last time I had an issue, I restarted my cable modem and router and all was fine again!

The AM forum is the only site I have problems with.
The first one or two link inside the forum are working fine, but then its a mess to click the links.

I have only problems with links inside the forum.

Well, if I had to guess I would say that the server that the forum is on was having issues. Maybe they were running something on the server that affected the sites?

idea: if you see this happen again and I'm online, ping me and I'll check it out from my end.

Hey..

I have this problem once in a while especially if there are a few users online..... I know all about...

Refresh..refresh..curse..refresh..enter enter..clickclickclickclick ..curse some more..

Usually happens when i want to reply to messages..or if i want to edit messages..It would time out on me..

It happened alot more to me in the past...

It seems to happen with about 8 users at one time online here..
It seems to be..then..
Check the users online at the bottom of the home page..next time..when you come on first..See if it happens then..Not that you can fix it though..

EDIT** this just happened to me like...10*'s..I could throw nails when it does..

Currently 7 users online and I have no issues.

I've had issues with websites, and trivial router issues aside, they usually boil down to the fact that internet is occasionally broken in between your pc and the site you are trying to reach.

To test, do 'tracert' (just google it up) from your pc to the site you are trying to reach. Usually you see where the packets get lost. I have no idea why the 'net' tries to use a broken or semi-working connection but that's the way it sometimes is.

The most annoying thing is that occasionally some websites are unreachable from your ip, while they are accessible from another ip. Go figure. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with ip banning, because it is not permanent for that ip.

(not sure if this is your problem, could be just a forum server issue)
