:D here's an absolutely beautiful program for instantly creating icon file anything up to 128X128 size....all you do is drag and drop any image you like onto the programs window and bingo instant ICO version of same

http://www.blitzbasic.com/toolbox/toolbox.php?tool=159

this way you can use the self same image you have of an item (even if it is full screen) just drag it onto the program....ico version done..work of genius

another one from the blitzbasic site tool box just in case folks had overlooked it

I just found an incredible site..for textures..objects, backgrounds..images..
Both real and some made in photoshop.so you know how real they look.:)
EVen some made in Paint by ppl who know how to manipulate Paint well

Also able to imbed graphics in Paint..This I'm very happy about..

Graphics of furniture..lamps, everything from doorknobs to keys, to african masks..All sorts of stuff..

There are user agreements, but you are able to use them for both non-commercial and commercial, provided you don't sell games..OR sell images. I read the user agreements for each..and so far so good. But I don't sell my games..Or plan to sell images.

Of course you are able to use some for commercial selling projects.. only need permission..which is easily enough granted given its a site you sign into and can reach users by email..

Also tons of tutorials..

I'm not sure if this site is posted here or not..but here goes..:)

To download the file..You can choose download link..but I just clicked it once..and then right clicked it and "save image"..you can also open the image in another window and do the same thing..~Either way is downloading..:)

Great background music. Most tracks are released under the Creative Commons license, and are free to use as long as you give credits. A small donation is very welcome.

I just found this..here you can add your own music--for others to hear, and they do well..some are for games..others for whatever reason..
or to download music/loops..ect..both Free and commercial--however u do need permission a special commercial license from the artist..--it states that..:)

How did I miss to add Newgrounds, I've been using audio from there a lot

http://www.jamendo.com/en/ provides also a lot of music of different genres. Most songs are free to use in noncommercial games if you give credits. Details on the allowed usage can be found on each album page.

Since my last post was in January, I allow myself to double post in this case :P

Psionic has released some short loops and sound effects which can be used in noncommercial and commercial projects; make sure you read the ReadMe file (part of the zip file with the sounds) to inform yourself about the usage rights.

Hi and welcome Maya!

Wav and MP3 both work for building games.

Personally, I prefer MP3.
