AVI file conversion

Postby reneuend » Fri May 04, 2012 3:16 pm

The project I've been working on is filled with animations. Because I'm using AVI, it has caused the project size to become astronomically large. Any suggestions on conversion? What format? I use the klite codec package, but wasn't sure if others would be so willing to load it on their systems.

Convert it to mp4, it makes it smaller.

It also allows you to change the bitrate

I had very good results if I convert an AVI into single jpgs and use the animation plugin.

If you have a big animation it would be a bit messy to handle the files, but for short animations it should do a good job

Thanks everyone. These are large animations. Rotten Luck is my first project where I learned how to use Anime Studio, and I used it extensively. I'll look at converting to MP4. This will require a codec download by the players, right?

Not sure. I use Quicktime to open mp4 files, if that helps :3
