Maybe I should have asked if you started the series with myst or another one. For me it was Riven, so it's my favorite. It looks like people who started with myst prefer myst !

Probably

Probably I have to go to exile for this statement, but I haven't played any Myst games... yet a weary, original copy of Riven is sitting here on my shelf, maybe giving me the chance of redemption from exile

Hey Harvester, don't let Riven be covered with dust on your shelves :P
I encourage you to try both Riven and Exile, and if possible Riven first ! But you'll need some free time, a head with a brain (I hope the axe of your avatar didn't make too much damages), and probably a pen and a paper !

 Nope, hopefully I still have some brains left :) When I will have some time, I will definitely give Riven a try. Back when it was released, I was astonished by the artwork of it I've seen in reviews, and still many adventure game designers ask me to compose something 'Myst-like' :) Probably I should get acquinted with it.

Riven I like most, because the graphics even today is still realistic. When I first ran it, I assumed that you have worked with plaster models that have been touched up on the computer.

I have to admit that I played the whole series of myst! I like that kind of adventure, but I was impressed by the first part of Myst and of course Riven later ...
