Keyguard is very good, but for huge projects it is too time consuming, i have 50 frames and even when hotpspots disappear, the hover text still appears and sometimes under a hotspot too.

I cant see it being difficult to add a text box into the frame properties, its just like alt text in a web page, plus when the hotspot disappears, so does the text.

I would say (just from what I saw while testing a bit) integration of all useful plugins into the editor. with the same frontend as the base version.

AM could look much more powerful to beginners, if the necessary plugins would be a fixed part of it.

I can't remember if I have posted on this topic before, but here's my wish-list of my most wanted features:

-Any shape for a hotspot obviously

-An improved dialog wizard

-Integrate ShadowHunters plugins and make a graphical interface for them

-Create an graphical interface for some of the scripts

-An improved and more advance inventory handling, both when you create and play a game

-Automatically play the music when you reload the game

Hehe, yes it's true... give me a month to get the beta out.

Some members were already alpha testing the editor

I felt I needed to bring some hope and life to AM by telling about my new plugin...

I'm not telling more details though 8)

This isnt an option for the old poll, but I would like to suggest adding a simple feature to make AM able to create standalone exe files that do NOT require install.

The reason for this is because I found a site named gamejolt.com that is able to run standalone exe files online! The only requirement is that they do not require install, and, sadly, AM is only capable of making standalones atm that DO require install so far. The .am1 type of export might have worked with the aforementioned site since it doesnt require install, except that file cant be used without AM.

So what do you guys think of this idea? To me it sounds simple enough to add, but im not a developer of AM so I really wouldnt know.

You can use AM transformer. However it lacks support and won't have all the features of AM full including plugins and code

I vote : E. Export games to HTML to play in web browser

I wish that the game is playable online. Included in one of my web pages.

Apart from a better support for online games to create more complex games, and a support for dialogue trees, I have this request:
- In the "Manage Resources" the ability to import many files at once (not just frames which is already supported, but also other files like hotspot images, sound files etc.) directly from AM. Currently other files than frames can be only imported one by one.

We need more iPod Touch features, and for them to fix the fact that you can't upload to iGiki but you have no firewall blocking it and/or firewall temporarily disabled, and you have internet connection.
You made something for the iPod Touch? Count me in!

My current project has over 120 frames, so keyguard is even more time consuming...

Hi,

drummerac wrote:I cant see it being difficult to add a text box into the frame properties, its just like alt text in a web page, plus when the hotspot disappears, so does the text.

Ain't that simple... textboxes will always be under a picturbox (hotspot) in VB it's MS design, no Z-order for text since it's painted onto the form

You need to remove the hotspot from the hover database when the hotspot is set invisible to prevent the hover text showing

I agree it's too complicated for huge projects... rest assured, all will change soon :D

Just for your information

An improved user interface would be nice. Perhaps a few toolbars or whatnot?

An undo feature.

More flexible VBScripting.

Expanded features for Windows 7, iPod/iPhone, and PSP.

More ease in creating input boxes.

Multi-line support for text (both input and message)

Transparency and more options for message/dialog boxes, and inventory.

Mac compatibility for both program AND export? (Dare I hope???)

I also vote for integrating all of the fancy plugins ShadowHunter, Mystery, Lyberodoggy, and all the other plugin gurus, have built.

And, just off the top of my head...Java?

What can't be done is Mac. There's no way with the current platform except for HTML. Because AM works with Visual Basic, which works only on windows.

my most wanted feature is not on the list...
i want to see .png with transparency support, not only for scenes, and hot spot graphics, but also for inventory icons.

I also agree with method321! PNG with transparency is really necessary as far as the visual look and feel of the game. Would be much easier for complicated scene. And more options for inventory :)

I'd vote Android Support, but without inventory, savegames and sound/music I don't care at all. The same goes for Export games to HTML. I voted Support for Javascript.
I like that adventure maker is easy and doesn't necessarily need script. It lets you depict your ideas with some clicks. But, if I'm going to import script sometimes, I prefer a language with wider use. AGS also uses Javascript and I prefer to focus on that.
Also, I agree with skype6 who agrees with method321 for PNG. :D And more options for inventory.
