It does lovely renders but I found the learning curve just a bit steep after being used to using Moray

hmmm i havnt used moray , maybee i should try it
if you can save to a format bryce uses you can import your models.
i use a lot of programs been playing with bryce a little more
lately

Unfortunately Moray doesn't save to any other format. There are programs to convert from other formats to Moray but not the other way around.
I like Moray because it is geometically set up (similar to 3D Max) but with a numbered grid. Adding textures seems a lot easier than in some of the other 'upper scale' modelers as well.
