Change Project Name

Postby mbc841 » Fri Mar 25, 2016 3:14 pm

Hi guys! I've been out of the loop for a long while as far as game making goes - and am just getting back in it. I'm a BIG fan of AdventureMaker, and have created and self-published two games using it. My last registered version of AM was version 3.5.5, and that is no longer available. I have now downloaded the free version of 4.7.1 and am enjoying learning all the new features. I will upgrade to the commercial version soon. But - I've got a very SIMPLE question - and I've searched the forums and help files and am not finding the answer. I know it's simple - and I probably knew how to do it before - but can't for the life of me remember or figure it out now. HOW does one change the PROJECT NAME??

Thanks so much!!!

Mike.

Thank you for the quick response Candle - but in the Project Properties box I have the option to change the Software Title, but not the Project Name. The Project Name is there - but in my version of the program, it does not allow me to change it. (I attached a screen-shot)

I didn't see that. go into your My Documents folder and you will see the game folder ,open that and click on projects you can rename the folder of your game there and when you go to start that one you can use e load game link in the menu.

Actually - I fixed it - I just created a NEW project with the appropraite name, and then moved all the files from the old project into the new one and so now it's good.

Thanks!!

I'm def making a new game! I'm very excited about it - will be a large project for sure! I'm just about done with a playable demo I hope to start sharing soon!! :) :) It's a first-person adventure game like the others I made - with lots of puzzles and areas to explore.
