Keep this in your pocket just in case

Postby reneuend » Mon Oct 18, 2021 8:31 pm

I created a forum that I'm slowly building with content from this forum. Why? Because this forum some times breaks and then GM has to fix it. The problem now is that I haven't been able to contact GM for a very long time.
So, either go ahead and join my backup forum now, or save the following link. I will be using AdventureMaker as long as it works. I've never found an easier, more versatile adventure game creator, so I'm hanging on to the bitter end!

Hi Skype6!

I was getting a bit nervous that we would lose the content for good if something wasn't done with not being able to contact GM.
Glad you joined! :!:

It would be nice to have a whole backup of the forum just in case as you said. Not sure if that's what you have or if that's even possible. I've thought about it before too. I keep expecting the domain to expire and everything to be lost because it feels like GM has given up.

11/20/2021 - I've been slowly manually copying over different posts. I've been ignoring the posts that are outdated or non-essential. I'll add those later as it is fun to read some of the old comments.

I agree. And if I had access to the database, it would be very easy.
For now, I'm just doing a few at a time, getting the most important ones and copying them over.

A program you might find useful is HTTrack. Easier than copying them manually. Not the same as a database backup but I guess the next best thing.
