The Free Edition allows compiling the project into a single compressed file that has the .am1 extension. You can freely distribute that file. It is like an executable, except that it does not need any installation (just double-click on it from the Windows Explorer and your game starts!). Please note that Adventure Maker Free Edition must be installed on the end-user computer in order for the am1 file to run.
The Full Edition can create stand-alone executables. The executables have a full-featured installation wizard with options to add icons to the start menu, to install additional files (readme, dlls, etc.), and to add an icon for uninstalling the game.
