1. Location-specific panning sounds for panoramic scenes.

2. Make it so that the scene does not automatically pan whenever the mouse is moved, with the curser anchored at the center. Instead, feature panning via holding down the right mouse button or by moving the mouse around the edges of the screen.

3. Cubic panoramas.

4. Automated Theora video support.

I would like to see a sprite manager where you ca load sprites . from there you can load them in to views (see picture) that way you could maybe do animated cursors etc .

some extra alternative ripple effects--or the ability to choose a right to left ripple as well as up down-- perhaps include some prewritten VB6 code for the advanced options (selectable from the hotspot menu) -small snippets of random this or that or simple self contained snippets that can be used on hotspots etc--user can then study them and learn some VB as they go along--
the ability to have more than one frame open for editing at a time--

Dialogue Wizard

Postby Mystery » Mon Apr 10, 2006 3:37 pm

I would like to have the possibility to call the next question by mouse click in the Dialoque Wizard (instead of timed duration).
This would make the games more enjoyable for fast and slow readers.

Hi GM,

It would be nice if the user had the option to "pause" a plugin when the save and load dialogbox appears and make it "resume" when the save or load is executed OR cancelled.

Example:

KeyGuard: Monitors also keystrokes when entering a save game name
KeyGuard: Mouse over runs also through the load, save box

It would surely improve the quality of some plugins...

Kind regards,

i would also like support for different shaped hotspots, i hate it when a door is on an angle and the sqaure hotspot has to go off the door to cover the entire thing
i also would like an easier script to play sounds in VB with, the one you have now i just cant get to work

Hi,

Try EZTalk that requires almost no scripting at all !

i checked out EXTalk, it might be exactly what im looking for,

another thing that i thought could be improved in AM is the ability to go use the Action.GoToFrame in the frames properties window, you have no idea how creative i have to get to work around this

I would like to third differently-shaped or rotatable hotspots. For me, they don't even have to be differently shaped. Just be able to rotate the current rectangle shape. I'm making a 3rd person game, and there are a lot of angles in the room, and so far that is the only thing that I don't like about this engine.

Here's a suggestion that might make it easier:

I haven't used water rippling, but from my understanding of it, a picture which displaces the area is imported. The same thing could be done for custom hotspots, a picture with white areas defining the hotspot shape could be imported and used.

That's my only suggestion. I really want to use this to make my new game but it's gonna be hard to do without differently-shaped or rotatable hotspots and I'm going to have to rethink it.

Thanks.

OCX objects are entities that provide services through OLE interfaces, so OLE support should already be there thanks to the OCX support.

Are you referring to something different?

For example, how can I use OLE drag 'n' drop in AM?

Different shaped hotspots?

Now this is just an idea. If you take a shape to be multiple vectors touching each other, then wouldn't the code needed simply be for AM to recognise that if the player clicks within the boundry of those vectors the the actions happen?

The only problem is allowing the person to create those vectors, and secondly getting the computer to recognise their boundry.

I'm working on this idea, so if I find a way, I'll let you know...

More flexible hotspots, but not manually drawn could be created using the vbshapes... Just an idea.

It would really help if AM's VB Engine picked up 'events' like Click etc. (Similar to the way the Visual Basic developer works).
