Error message Common Dialogue Plugin

Postby Mystery » Tue Sep 19, 2006 9:40 pm

Some of you and many other players have played my game Save the Earth for which I used the CommonDialogue plugin without any problems.

Now there is a player who is getting the same error message over and over again despite of twice deinstalling and reinstalling the game (also downloaded it again for a third reinstallement):

An error has occurred. The game may not work properly. Click OK. Then press Control Q to quit. Error description:
Error in game. Additional Component is probably not installed properly. Component ?COMDLG32.OCX? or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I'm not sure what is going wrong. I have downloaded it myself and installed it, and I had no problems. This player has already played other games that I created.

Does any of you have an idea what the cause could be? (The error message appears at the game start and later when the plugin is in fact used to save a music file). Maybe specific system requirements or other "limitations"? I only know that she has Windows 2000. If you need any more information, I can ask her.

Hi,

Try to reinstall the OCX component and register it correctly, this should fix the problem:

Good luck,
