What Kind of Computer are you running it on? Yes the Shadows will make the renders take very longer If you go into render options and Untick Shader Tree's that should make your render faster with the same type of quality that you are already producing Good Luck BBP_Bigbadpeanut

I have full Poser 6. I run it on a P4 2,6 ghz, 1GB RAM, 256MB videoRAM machine. I think it should be enough for this purpose...

Looks great :)
Did you find somebody to create the character? It looks very realistic, wow! I know what I'm talking about, it's a struggle to create characters :? And the other scene is also very nice!

The picture right above the new one (the dead guy). I have experienced that heads and hands are very hard to create and this head looks great (apart from the fact that the guy is dead of course  ).

Poser

Postby Harvester » Tue Mar 28, 2006 7:59 pm

As it was mentioned before in this topic, Poser is a great program :) It was created by Poser 6 so it wasn't a hard thing to do... I know it's hard to create humans or other charachters, so this is why I use Poser which makes things quite easy. I can only recommend it.

I was wondering why you didn't post any new pictures and I thought that you have finished your screens.
This one looks great - though a little creepy, but I guess this was the intention of it.

This

Postby Harvester » Sun Apr 23, 2006 7:53 pm

This one is not connected to any games yet, but it's something like a temple. I guess this will be used for a web design, but I don't know yet. Now I have the problem that I have many ideas for games, but I don't know which to start with... and I don't want to make another 30% completed game development.

Another image, created just for fun, but i think it's not bad... and as an interesting fact I would mention that this scene contains over 51 million 7 thousand polygons.... I don't know if that's much or not, but it took quite a long to render it and all my other projects contained less...

Wow, very nice and mysterious (due to the fog). :)
I think it is because of the mountains that it took long to render, they are built of a lot of polygons. At least this is what my experience has shown so far.

Very nice!

I don't think Bryce allows creating such beautiful 3d grass. How did you create the grass?

i say that poser is a great soft... but for me, it seems to block our creativity in manual character modeling... i just dont agree with that...

Postby Harvester » Sat May 06, 2006 7:14 pm

Whole picture was created in Vue 5, except mountains which were imported from Bryce and modified in Lightwave. However the other objects are not created by me, but soon I'll try to post something which is absolutely mine, with original objects created by me :) It was just a first (or exactly second) try with Vue. Thanks for the nice comments.

Before looking at the pictures, read this first please.
I can't use any 3d modeller programmes, so I decided to use a home designer software to create my images. I know it's not the best way of game-making, but until I can find a guy who make the graphics for me, it's the best I can do.
Please tell me what you think about these!

Rebirth

Postby Harvester » Sun Nov 19, 2006 12:25 pm

Hm, the topic seem to be dead. Too bad. So here is something I made about half a year ago. I know it is not too realistic, but I like it, so I'm interested in your oppinion. All objects and surfaces created by me (from downloaded textures), nothing imported from anywhere.

Postby Harvester » Tue Mar 13, 2007 6:15 pm

If you mean the sunset field, it didn't take too long, it can be done in an hour if you've got some experience with the programs used. I used Lightwave for modelling, Bryce for terrains and Vue for comleting and rendering the scene.

And thank you for your comment, I'm glad you like it :)
