Try this
Go to the Run item on the Start menu, and type:

regsvr32 <path & filename of dll or ocx>

you will need to know where the MSDXM6.OCX file is.

Hi,

On my computer, the only times I get the same error message as you is when I do the installation while an instance of Adventure Maker or of a game created with Adventure Maker is still running.

Did you close all the running instances of Adventure Maker and all the running AM games when you did the installation?

Thanks,

Thanks a lot for the info.

Could you please elaborate more on your sentence "Also im getting some overlapping in my inventory that wasnt there before"?
It doesn't happen in "The Closed Door" sample game, does it? Is there any way I can reproduce this issue?

Thanks,

what happened was when i installed the new am version
for the inventory background picture and inventory button i selected
the same image. A small corner image. So items appeared to overlap
in the inventory. I just reset the inventory background and it
was back to normal. An oversight on my part.

so far everything is perfect.
Thanks much!
