New Adventure Maker v4.3.0 Beta 2 - panoramas meet Vista!

Postby GM-Support » Fri Jun 08, 2007 3:03 pm

Dear AM users, Dear forum members, Dear friends,

I am very happy to introduce today Adventure Maker v4.3.0 Beta2.

The Beta1 that was released 10 days ago (read announcement here) featured partial support for Windows Vista. New to today's Beta2 is the support for 360-degree panoramas under Windows Vista. This is an important milestone in the efforts to make AM v4.3.0 fully compatible with the new operating system.

You can grab the new version here (16MB), and start developing for Vista right now! The upgrade from any previous versions 4.x to this new version is totally free.

Thank you for your support and good luck for the creation of your new Vista-compatible games! :)

Best regards,
GM-Support

Thank you AncientRein.

If anyone has a chance to try the panoramas under Vista, please let me know if they work fine. We have only a few days before the beta goes final...

Thanks,

Hi GM, congratulations on getting AM running properly in Vista. I'm waiting a bit for others to test the waters, but plan to upgrade to Vista soon.

I hate to keep asking you this, but now that you're back working on AM, perhaps this is a good time. Is it possible for you to improve the quality of the panoramas in AM and do you plan to do it? I'm sorry, I love AM, but the panoramas are really of such a poor quality as to be unusable in a game.

Hi Imari,

Thanks.

Sure. I realize that the current implementation of the panoramas does not allow for hi-resolution images. Improving the panoramas quality is in the to-do list. I will let you know as soon as it starts being implemented.

Thanks again,
